Blog Title: Mindful Growth
Introduction:
Welcome to Mindful Growth! I’m Ginalyn M. Yadao, a 38-year-old mom of three who embarked on life’s adventures early. At 20, I married my partner, and soon after, motherhood became my central journey. Though I didn’t complete my college education, I don’t regret a moment of raising my kids and being there as they grew.
Now, with my children grown, I’m ready to focus on a new chapter—one that challenges me and lets me grow beyond the role of mom. I’m training to become an Amazon Virtual Assistant, hoping to build a successful career in the world of e-commerce. Although I sometimes doubt my ability to succeed, I’m committed to stepping out of my comfort zone and proving to myself that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.

Embracing the Journey of Self-Rediscovery
When was the last time I truly focused on myself? After dedicating years to raising my children, this question has recently been on my mind. As I start my training to become an Amazon Virtual Assistant, I’m discovering parts of myself I had long forgotten—my resilience, my passion for learning, and my desire to build something meaningful. This journey is both thrilling and a little daunting, but I’m learning that self-rediscovery is a key part of personal growth.
Takeaway: Rediscovering who you are doesn’t mean you’ve lost yourself; it means you’re finding new ways to shine.
Pushing Through Self-Doubt
One of my biggest challenges in this journey is the self-doubt that creeps in. I question if I’m capable, if I’ll ever become skilled enough to stand out in such a competitive field. But I remind myself that every successful person started with uncertainty. To overcome this, I’m setting small, achievable goals in my training, celebrating each step forward.
Tip: When self-doubt arises, break down your goals into smaller steps and celebrate every accomplishment, no matter how small.
Going Beyond My Comfort Zone
Starting a new career in my late 30s has forced me out of my comfort zone. I’m learning new tools, attending virtual training, and networking with other aspiring virtual assistants. It’s challenging, but I’m embracing each uncomfortable moment as a step towards growth.
Reflection: Growth doesn’t happen within comfort zones. Each time I push myself, I’m preparing for a stronger, more confident version of me.
Balancing Family and Personal Ambitions
With a family of five, balancing time for training and supporting my family is a delicate dance. I’ve started carving out dedicated “me-time” for study, and I’m grateful my family supports my dreams. My kids even give me words of encouragement, reminding me that it’s okay to prioritize my goals too.
Insight: Balancing family and personal growth isn’t easy, but with support and determination, it’s possible.
Visualizing Success as a Virtual Assistant
Each day, I visualize myself thriving as an Amazon Virtual Assistant. I imagine the clients I’ll work with, the freedom to work from anywhere, and the sense of accomplishment when I secure my first client. This vision keeps me motivated and helps me push through tough days.
Exercise: Try visualizing your success. Picture your goals vividly to stay motivated and focused on the path ahead.
Closing Thoughts:
If there’s one thing I want readers to take away, it’s that personal growth is possible at any stage of life. While I may have started this journey with hesitation, I’m learning that growth begins with small, mindful steps. Mindful Growth is my space to share that journey with you, to remind myself and others that it’s never too late to chase dreams, no matter where you are in life.
Thank you for joining me in this journey, and here’s to finding strength in every step forward!
